Materials Explained

Breathable Latex Foam
Sourced from rubber trees, natural Talalay® latex provides buoyant, breathable support that relieves pressure.
- Hypoallergenic and eco-friendly, it keeps you cool and comfortable with a resilient, responsive feel.

Cashmere Quilting Layer
Soft cashmere and wool create a premium quilting material that wicks away moisture.
- It's temperature-regulating in any season, helping you sleep cool in the summer and warm in winter.

Sustain® Memory Foam
USDA Certified Sustain® memory foam gently contours to your body's curves for targeted pressure relief.
- This eco-friendly foam delivers premium memory foam comfort with reduced environmental impact.

Micro Coils
Thousands of tiny coils add a responsive layer of contouring comfort that adapts to your shape.
- This layer also promotes airflow, keeping your mattress cool throughout the night

Individually-Wrapped Coils
Advanced coils move independently to contour to your body and deliver targeted support.
- They actively absorb motion, ensuring your partner's movements won't disrupt your sleep.

Hand Tufting
This traditional craftsmanship technique secures every comfort layer in place from top to bottom.
- By preventing materials from shifting, it ensures your mattress delivers consistent comfort for years.
Luxury Mattress FAQ
1. What's the difference between the Telluride, Vail, and Aspen?
The Telluride is our cooling-forward entry into the Luxury Collection. It pairs individually-wrapped coils with latex, nitrogen-infused memory foam, and our SNOBoost® cover (with Phase Change Materials and ICE Yarn) for superior temperature regulation.
The Vail steps up significantly in natural materials and craftsmanship, adding a generous amount of natural Talalay latex, micro-coils, a wool and cashmere quilted top, HyperGel memory foam, and hand-tufted Tencel® construction.
The Aspen is the pinnacle — our most material-rich mattress — with additional layers of 100% natural Talalay latex, USDA Certified Sustainable Gel Visco Foam, and an Italian Damask hand-tufted cover with antimicrobial quilt foam.
2. Why does the Luxury Soft cost more than the Luxury Firm in each model?
The Soft versions include additional layers of premium comfort material, typically more natural Talalay latex and plush cushioning, to create a deeper, more enveloping feel. The extra material adds cost, but also adds responsiveness and pressure relief for side sleepers or anyone who prefers a softer surface.
3. What is Talalay latex, and why is it used in luxury mattresses?
Talalay latex is derived from the rubber tree, not a chemical plant, and produces a buoyant, pressure-relieving comfort that synthetic foams can't replicate. It's naturally hypoallergenic, antimicrobial, and breathable, which means it sleeps cooler and stays cleaner than traditional foam over time. It's one of the most sought-after materials in premium mattresses worldwide.
4. What are micro-coils, and what do they add?
Micro-coils are a secondary layer of very small, individually-wrapped coils built into the comfort layers of the mattress, above the main support core. They add contouring responsiveness, extra airflow, and a "floating" quality that foam alone can't deliver. It's a feature you won't find in most mattresses at any price.
5. What does hand-tufted mean, and why does it matter?
Hand-tufting is a traditional craftsmanship technique where individual tufts are hand-stitched through the mattress to secure all comfort layers in place. It prevents the materials from shifting or bunching over time, preserves the mattress's feel for a decade or more, and is a defining hallmark of truly premium mattress construction.
6. What is European Damask fabric?
European Damask is a premium woven fabric prized for its durability, elegance, and structural integrity. On the Aspen, it serves as the hand-tufted cover that holds the comfort layers in place and is backed with antimicrobial quilt foam for a cleaner, longer-lasting sleep environment.
7. Do Luxury Collection mattresses sleep cool?
Yes, and each tier approaches cooling a little differently. The Telluride is our most cooling-focused model, with a SNOBoost® cover made with Phase Change Materials and ICE Yarn that actively dissipates heat. The Vail and Aspen rely on natural temperature regulation through wool, cashmere, Talalay latex, and micro-coil airflow — materials that breathe naturally rather than trapping heat.
